Compost fee decision raises concerns about out-of-town usage

As part of the process of transferring the billing for waste hauling in Lake City from the city to its contracted hauler, the city council Monday approved some changes to the city’s fee schedule.

The city will continue to pay for Clean-up Days and the leaf vacuum and compost site. Charges for those services will appear on the utility bills.
