Contractor - Highway project 60 percent complete

Section 2 of the Highway 61 reconstruction project in Lake City opened as projected Aug. 19, and the third and final detour stage went into effect.
Highway 61 traffic can now travel through downtown from Lyon Avenue southward. The detour now runs along Lyon Avenue, North 10th Street, and Grant Street, where it rejoins Highway 61.
