The developer of a condominium project on Block 13 is seeking a variance that would allow the project to have a higher residential density than is usually allowed in the central business district, or B1, zoned areas.
Paul Meier of Meier Companies is asking for a variance to construct a four-story, 26-unit condominium on the 300 block of South Lakeshore Drive. That’s three units higher than the limit imposed by the zoning ordinance, according to a notice of public hearing published previously in the Graphic.
