Council group focuses on state bonding process

Three Lake City City Council members have volunteered to investigate a package of projects for which the city could receive funding through the state bonding bill.

The state legislature typically approves a large bonding bill once per biennium where it provides funding for specific local projects. The next one is in 2020.

Wabasha received $8 million funding in 2018 for its “Wabasha Rivertown Resurgence” project that included a major expansion of the National Eagle Center. Red Wing projects have also received funding.
