Council signals support for Patton Park performance area

Faced with contradictory advice and staff looking for guidance on whether and how to incorporate a public performance area into Patton Park, members of the Lake City City Council weighed in Monday, Sept. 9.

City Planning and Community Development Director Megan Smith outlined three concepts for incorporating the existing gazebo into the performance space.

Two of the designs repair the gazebo and terrace the land around it for performers. The first wrapped around the gazebo. The second centers on the gazebo but curves out toward the fountain.
