Council special meeting about topics from ambulance to 'Zone X'

A meeting conceived to give the Lake City City Council insight into ambulance operation is expanding to include discussions of a possible environmental commission and the sci-fi sounding “Zone X.”

Just under a year ago the city received the results of a rural ambulance assessment. The results weren’t good. Not only was the service losing more money than necessary, the report found problems with leadership, management and employee morale.

The service has since embarked on a wideranging effort to address those shortcomings.
