The Lake City City Council devoted the majority of its special meeting July 26 to a discussion of the city’s aging O’Neil Community Swimming Pool.
Constructed in the mid-1980s, the pool appears to be in good shape – though what lurks below the deck is a mystery, and some of its amenities are outdated.
In his introduction to the discussion, City Administrator Rob Keehn said the pool is in the city’s 10 year capital expenditure plan with a year and an amount.
“What are we doing (with the pool), and is it the right amount?” he said.
