Council updated on Ohuta Park progress

City Planning and Community Development Director Megan Smith updated the Lake City City Council on the Ohuta Park redevelopment project Monday, Dec. 14.

The city is in the midst of a multi-year effort to remake one of the city’s most prominent pieces of public lakefront at an estimated cost of just over $4 million.

Plans are nearing their final stages, Smith wrote in the council agenda packet, and a council vote on authorizing staff to bid out the project could come on Jan. 11.
