County approves CUP for Plainview adult foster home

Wabasha County Supervisors on Feb. 7 approved a Conditional Use Permit request by Jamie Ratz of Plainview, as recommended by the County Planning and Zoning Commission, regarding an adult foster home business on about two acres of land just east of the Midwest Machinery Co. John Deere dealership in Plainview.

Ratz submitted a CUP application for the business on Nov. 29, 2022. The property is zoned A-2 (Agriculture/ Urban Fringe District), and similar uses are allowed as a conditional/interim use of the zoning district, per Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance.
