County board eyes 3% levy increase, slashes county recorder Aitken’s pay

Wabasha County Board members on Dec. 13 held a Truth in Taxation hearing, offering county residents a chance to ask about the county’s budget, what drives the budget, capital improvement plans and such.
The Truth in Taxation meeting is required before the County can set its final budget. Commissioners will meet Friday, Dec. 30 in the Old Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Ave., Wabasha, to set the 2023 budget.
