County revisits county attorney salary
Wabasha County Commissioners on Jan. 21 set the 2025 salary for County Attorney Matthew Stinson at $119,000, having reconsidered nearly two months after setting his salary at $110,000.
The Commissioners on Nov. 19 listed numerous questions and concerns about the operation of the County Attorney’s office under Stinson, who was first elected in 2022. They voted 3-2 to reduce his 2025 salary from $130,900 to $110,000, citing Stinson’s handling of criminal prosecutions.
