County shifts driver’s license oversight duties

The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners on July 7 unanimously approved transferring driver’s license responsibility to the auditor-treasurer in the hope that it will speed up service.

The board met in an open session on July 7 with all commissioners present. County Administrator Brian Buhmann and County Attorney Karrie Kelly were also present. All COVID requirements were in place in regard to spacing in the board room.

The agenda was short, with more discussion and less action.
