Detour ahead for travelers between Lake City and Red Wing

A sign announcing the impending closure of U.S. Highway 61 between Lake City and Red Wing has been erected at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and Park Street in Lake City.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will resurface approximately 10 miles of Hwy. 61 between Lake City and Red Wing.

Rochester Sand and Gravel is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to begin July 5 and last through early September 2023. The following is the planned work:
