District has plans to spend allowance money

Lake City Public Schools will use leftover money from the Bluff View Elementary School expansion on projects at Lincoln High School.

Val Loppnow, who works with the district finances, told the school board on Feb. 18 that there will be about $430,000 left unspent when all the work at Bluff View is complete.

She said the money came from allowances in different areas of the project budget that could have been tapped for unforeseen expenses.
