Dock offer floated, accepted

The Lake City City Council March 9 authorized the sale of the storm-damaged 300 dock at the city’s municipal marina.
A tornado in 2019 caused extensive damage to the dock, leading the city to postpone replacement of another dock in favor of replacing the 300 dock this spring.
In an email Wednesday morning, Marina Administrator Jeff Brand said the purchaser is Dennis Benish, the owner of marinas in Alma, Pepin, and Winovna.
