Downtown work goes underground

At the weekly Highway 61 reconstruction project progress report Tuesday, Dick Swenke, Rochester Sand and Gravel’s public information coordinator, provided an update on the work that took place last week and what’s coming in the week ahead.
On the north end of the project between Central Point Road and West Vine Street last week contractors were installing storm sewer pipe and storm structures and working on roadway excavation, Swenke said.
