Dudley picked for open City Council seat

In a unanimous vote at its Oct. 26 special meeting, the Lake City City Council selected Wayne Dudley to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Council Member Robert Newsome in September.
He’s expected to take the oath of office at the council’s regular meeting on Nov. 9. The seat will be up for election again in 2028. The term ends in January, 2029.
