Extensive water damage to Bluff View gym floor over the weekend
An equipment malfunction on Saturday, Jan. 14, led to a water leak that caused extensive damage to a gym floor at Bluff View Elementary School over the weekend.
“On Saturday night, while routinely putting up the basketball hoops in gym 2, the ‘stopper’ on the lift failed to engage, and the hoop kept going up and hit a sprinkler pipe,” Lake City Public Schools Supt. Erick Enger said. “Over the course of the evening, water leaked out onto the southeast corner floor of gym 2.
