For farmers in 2015: Lots of crops, not much profit

Ag Partners completed construction on a 615,000 bushel, 90-foot diameter grain bin this summer, just in time.

The bin, along with a half-million bushel bin built two years ago, are full thanks to a bumper crop raised by farmers in 2015.

Mark Ryan of Ag Partners said farmers throughout Wabasha County had bumper crop yields  this year.

“They had good yields of corn and soybeans,” he said.

Yields of 200 bushels per acre of corn were common, he said, as were soybean yields of 60 bushels per acre.
