Flood forecasts put Lake City on alert

With the National Weather Service reporting that low level flooding on the Mississippi River at Lake City is a virtual certainty and a better than 50 percent chance of major flooding, city officials are developing response plans.
Lake City’s marina, public works department, and emergency management department are all looking at how potential floods may impact.
