A funding surge for city electric

Lake City Public Utilities is set to receive $375,297 from its power consortium.
Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (SMMPA), of which the city is a member, decided at its Nov. 13 meeting to distribute $7 million in contingency funds to its members, according to the minutes from the Nov. 20 Lake City Utility Board meeting.
