Goodhue County commissioners consider fee schedule changes

Goodhue County Surveyor/Recorder Lisa Hanni discussed the county’s building permit fee schedule at the Dec. 15 County Board public hearing. She said every year the commissioners are asked to approve the fee schedule for the coming year. A single family home in Goodhue County, valued at $150,000, is currently charged 40 percent for a plan review fee for residential dwellings. There is a 65 percent fee charged for commercial buildings.
