Goodhue County Hwy. 2 rebuild in progress

Work is underway on a 4.5-mile segment of Goodhue County Hwy. 2 stretching from U.S. Hwy. 61 in Frontenac Station to Goodhue County Hwy. 5.

Jess Greenwood, Goodhue County’s county engineer and public works director, said in a March 18 email that tree and brush clearing was taking place along the route at that time.

Grading will begin later this season. This includes replacement of culverts and drainage structures.

Paving will happen in 2026 on a separate contract.
