Growing loading zone leads to tickets, frustration

Recent changes to the parking rules on the 100 block of South Lakeshore are causing frustration at Shear Wizards Salon.

The block lost parking spaces when a bump-out and right turn lane were added during the Highway 61 reconstruction project last year, leaving three spaces available during the day. Some additional spaces are part of a loading zone and available before 6 a.m. and after 4 p.m.

Last week the size of the loading zone was increased and the curb painted yellow, reducing the available spaces to two.
