Habitat for Humanity home delivered to Lake City lot

Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity got a head start on its project at 416 N. Prairie Street in Lake City.

The home was already built. It came from the Litchfield area via a home refurbishing company in southwestern Minnesota, which stripped it down to the studs, added windows and wiring and insulation and a new roof.

That still left plenty of work for volunteers – from the basement below to interior walls, to the flooring, ceiling, and staircase – and Nancy Breen, its future owner after it arrived on-site in January.
