Highway 61 money meeting is Monday

A special City Council meeting to compare financing options for Lake City’s portion of upcoming work on Highway 61 will be Monday, April 3.

City Admininstrator Mark Sievert said the council will look at details of the cost of the two options before the city council -- a reduction of the highway from four lanes to three that would include a complete reconstruction of the road; or a mill-and-overlay project that would preserve the existing four-lane configuration.
