Highway about half way complete
Half way, or thereabouts.
That’s the completion status of the Highway 61 reconstruction project in Lake City, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s weekly project update email.
At Tuesday’s weekly construction update meeting, Cindy Morgan, the public engagement coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), said Section 2 of the project could be open to traffic in mid-August.
The detour then will move from Lakewood Avenue and 10th Street to Lyon Avenue and North 7th Street.
