Injury accidents on Hwy. 61, Hwy. 63 over weekend

Two people were injured in accidents on highways near Lake City over the weekend, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

On June 2 at around 7:22 p.m., a 43-year-old Rochester man was hurt while heading northbound on Highway 63 on Harley Davidson motorcycle in Mount Pleasant Township. The motorcycle struck a deer and left the roadway. He was taken to Lake City Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Road conditions were wet, and the driver was wearing a helmet, according to the accident report.
