Kjell Alkire is city’s next EDA director

Change is happening at the Lake City Economic Development Authority (EDA).

Almost two years to the day after becoming EDA director, Lisa Babington is leaving the city and moving with her husband to Eugene, Ore., where he has a new job.

Her last day in the office is tomorrow (Friday), but she’ll be with the EDA a while longer, working remotely from Eugene at least through the end of the month.

This week she’s been working alongside her replacement, Kjell Alkire.
