Letter: Highway plans look good, but how will they work?

To the editor:

First of all the rendition of the new super two lane is very well done, and looks impressive on paper.

My personal opinion instead of the project would be:

• Reroute the Riverwalk halfway down the bank just above 100 Year Flood Level .

• Add another lane where the Riverwalk was.

• Use the added lane for space for turn lanes.

• Negotiate with the DOT for our own plans.

• Run a trial with lanes marked as they were super two lanes, to see if it works.
