Local judge faces primary challenge

Wabasha County District Court Judge Terrence Walters faces a challenge from two attorneys in next Tuesday’s primary  election.

The primary is one of three judicial primaries on that ballot this year including a race for a Minnesota Supreme Court seat.

Only three-fourths of Lake City’s voters will cast ballots in the district judge races but everyone can vote in the statewide Supreme Court race.

Lake City’s Precinct 4 is located in Goodhue County which is part of Judicial District 1.
