A Mayo Clinic air ambulance unexpectedly spent a few days on the helipad at Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City.
“After landing at the hospital on Friday evening and attempting the restart process to return to Rochester, the pilot became aware of a high engine temperature sensor. Out of precaution, the aircraft was grounded in place and maintenance technicians from Rochester were summoned,” according to Mayo spokesperson Kristy Jacobson. “It was determined the engine should be removed and replaced at the present location.”
