A measure of certainty for Marina Point

The Lake City City Council on July 13 came to what may be its final final decision of the fate of the summer vacation trailers that line the inner harbor leading to Marina Point.

In previous votes, the council decided to move the trailers to make way for changes to Ohuta Park. It later approved a relocation plan.

But opposition from trailer owners, who lease their sites from the city, and an alternative plan developed by those owners led the council to ask city staff to review and possibly amend the plan.
