Misuse prompts closure of Florence Township compost and brush site

The compost and brush site intended for use by residents of Florence Township is closed, and its unclear when, or if, it will reopen.
In a notice appearing in this issue of the Graphic, the township said the site, located in Old Frontenac at the end of Van Blarcum Avenue is closed “because of lack of space, unauthorized burning and the rogue deposit of large, problematic materials.”
