New efforts keep new finance director busy

Next year’s budget was all worked out when Amy Hove joined the City of Lake City’s staff but there is plenty of work ahead for the new finance director.
A veteran of the Goodhue County finance department, Hove was hired to succeed Barb Pratt who retired at the end of September after guiding the City Council through budget plans for 2017.
That has left Hove with some time to focus on future city projects before diving into a new budget next spring.
