No scarcity of ideas for scarce lakefront area

Many spoke and many more attended a special Lake City City Council meeting Tuesday night.

Called to address three questions posed to the council by the city’s planning commission, the meeting focused on Ohuta Park and the adjacent area of the Lake City Marina.

At issue is whether to replace the current beach bathhouse with a year-round facility as proposed by the Marina Board under council direction, or to take a broader view and plan for the area as a whole.
