People want to gather near the Lake
About 60 people attended an open house at City Hall Feb. 1 to view preliminary ideas for the city’s waterfront and downtown areas and to vote with dot stickers for their favorites.
The event, organized by Stantec, capped a day of focus groups with city staff and local stakeholder groups. The City Council in November approved a contract with Stantec to develop a plan for the city’s waterfront and downtown.
Interim City Planner Megan Smith said she was pleased with the size and composition of the group that turned out for the open house.
