Riverboat landing for Lake City?

The cruise industry on the Mississippi River is growing, with major lines constructing several boats expected to begin traversing the river in the coming years.

And they are looking for more stops.

That was the message Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols relayed to the city council Oct. 11 after attending a Mississippi River City and Towns Initiative meeting where representatives of three major cruise lines and the U.S. Coast Guard presented.
