Schmit says hello, Peters farewell at Wabasha County Board Meeting

At its Sept. 6 meeting, the Wabasha County Board appointed interim County Assessor Penny Schmit to a four-year term as county assessor.
All commissioners were present for this meeting, along with Plante and County Attorney Karrie Kelly.
Schmit addressed the board, providing a brief update on how things are going in the department.
“We have come a long way,” she said, adding that she “wants everyone to be comfortable coming to the Assessor’s Office.”
