Schools go hybrid to start school year

Most Lake City Public Schools students will begin the school year with a model that blends aspects of distance learning with in-person instruction.
The school board voted Tuesday to begin the year in the hybrid model, one of three models the state has ordered local districts to develop. The others are a distance learning model similar to the one used at the end of the last school year, and an in-person model that brings students to school five days a week but has modifications intended to inhibit the spread of COVID-19.
