Semi hits traffic light, blocks Lakeshore Drive

A collision with a traffic light at the corner of Lyon Avenue and Lakeshore Drive left three lanes of Lakeshore Drive blocked Monday, July 29.
At around 4:20 p.m. that day, a semi truck hauling 51,000 pounds of flour collided with the light while making a right turn from Lyon Avenue southbound onto Lakeshore Drive.
As a result, some trailer tires deflated and the wheels became misaligned, preventing the trailer from being moved.
