Several futures possible for downtown lots

Justin Hawryluk says he’s excited to see the demolition of buildings along the 200 block of South Lakeshore and what could replace them, even if he doesn’t know yet what that will be.

Hawryluk is the president of Lake Pepin Development Company, which owns the roughly half-acre of land on the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Marion Street in downtown Lake City. He’s also Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols’ son-in-law and runs the family’s hotel business.
