Side-by-sides coming to city streets Jan. 1

In less than a week, Lake City will begin issuing permits to allow Class 2 or side-by-side all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to drive on some city streets.
Beginning Jan. 1, Class 2 ATVs with a permit will be able to drive on the same city streets as golf carts. Golf carts, and now side-by-sides, are prohibited from downtown Lake City and state highways. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license.
