Swimmer’s body recovered on Cannon River

At 4:39 p.m. on Sept. 4, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a male party in the water of the Cannon River, near Cannon Falls. It was determined that three men were swimming in the Cannon River near Cannon Falls. One of the men went under, and the other two went in after him. The male who went under the water resurfaced twice and did not resurface again.
