Temporary bridge on Hwy. 61 scheduled to open this week
Motorists using the Highway 63/Eisenhower Bridge in Red Wing will have a different route to and from the bridge on the Minnesota side beginning sometime between March 30 and April 1, according to the Minnesota and Wisconsin departments of transportation.
The slip ramp into Red Wing is scheduled to close at that time. Weather conditions may affect the timing of the closure. Highway 63 traffic will be switched onto the temporary bridge that is nearing completion and it will travel on the buttonhook ramp that was built last fall.
