Tennaco buys Federal-Mogul

Federal-Mogul, the vehicle component manufacturer with a stake in two Lake City facilities, has a new owner.

Tennaco, based in Lake Forest, Ill., purchased Federal-Mogul, based in Southfield, Mich., from its owner, Carl Icahn Enterprises, with cash, stock and financing valued at $5.4 billion, according to a press release.

Federal-Mogul Powertrain and Federal-Mogul TP Liners are both located in Lake City at 520 N. 8th Street. Federal-Mogul TP Liners is a joint venture with the Japanese company TPR.
