Trash billing changes, service remains same

Residential garbage customers in Lake City have already received their bills for June.

Until this month, the City of Lake City charged for garbage and recycling pick-up on utility bills. Now Lake City Recycling and Disposal, the city’s garbace contractor, is billing residents directly.

About 2,300 customers will be impacted by the change, according to the company. Bills go out the first of the month and are due on the 15th.
