After reaching as high as 19.7 feet, flood forecasts in Lake City were consistently revised downward to the point where an apparent crest was reached Tuesday at about 19 feet, moderate flood stage. Flood waters were then forecast to recede and over the weekend descend below 18 feet into minor flood stage.
Forecasts are subject to revision up or down based on observations and precipitation.
High water infiltrated many of the city’s shoreline parks, depositing debris, and it caused the closure of Hok-Si-La Park over the weekend when water went over the access road.
