Utility shutoffs may soon resume

Lake City Public Utilities hasn’t been cutting service or charging penalties on delinquent accounts as a way to help residents weather the COVID-19 pandemic, but officials are discussing when and how to resume that policy.

City Administrator Rob Keehn raised the issue with the city council at a special meeting on June 1.
