Veterans Day is Saturday, school Veterans Day programs will be Friday
With Veterans Day, Nov. 11, falling on a Saturday this year, local schools are having their annual Veterans Day programs on the nearest school day on the calendar, Friday, Nov. 10.
St. John’s Lutheran School and Roots to Wings Learning Center will hold its Veterans Day program on Friday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. in the school gymnasium at 516 W. Chestnut St., Lake City. The community is invited to attend.
The guest speaker is Specialist Kimberly Hoekstra, who has worked in a variety of public affairs roles with the United States Army Reserve.
